From Slickr Flickr 1.44, the plugin’s lightbox will display links in photo descriptions. Prior to this release it “cleaned” the photo descriptions which removed links.
Here is an example of a couple of photos with long descriptions containing multiple links.
This is the code:
slickr-flickr tag="sculpture" descriptions="on" type="gallery" size="m640" flickr_link="on" flickr_link_title="Click to see the photo on Flickr" flickr_link_target="_blank"
This is what it looks like.
You need to move the cursor over the description to see it in its entirety – otherwise only the first line of the description is visible so as not to obscure the photo
If you click the photo title at the top of the lightbox it will open a new tab on your browser when displaying the original photo on Flickr.
Galleria 1.2.9
This is what the long descriptions look like in the galleria. Click the “i” at the top of the image to reveal the captions. The links are present but could do with better styling as the dark blue on a black background is not clear.
The code for the galleria I used was:
slickr-flickr tag="sculpture" descriptions="on" type="galleria" size="m640" flickr_link="on" flickr_link_title="Click to open a new window to see photo on Flickr" flickr_link_target="_blank" galleria_options="width:600;height:480; carousel:false"
