Slickr Flickr 2.5 was released on May 28th 2015. Its main focus was on reporting when no photos are available.
- Use
silent="on"
to suppress the error message indicating there are no photos available (for use on individual slickr-flickr commands) - Use
message="Sorry, there are no photos"
or something similar, to add your own error message indicating there are no photos available (for use on individual slickr-flickr commands) - Added No Photos section to the Slickr Flickr Admin page so you can set up site-wide settings for what to display when there are no photos available
- The other change in the release was on the Slickr Flickr Admin page which now has tabs so you do not need to scroll

Jarnick H, Please post the URL of your page that has the problem with the menu

Hey Russell,
Could you perhaps help me out with a z-index problem? On my website my primary toolbar (Twenty Fourteen theme) is hidden behind the Slickrflickr plugin.
Could you perhaps provide a solution to this problem? I have tried raising the z-indices for the primary navigation ul etc. but nothing seems to help.
Changing the CSS files from the plugin is not something I prefer to do, neither can I seem to find these files.
Kind regards,
Jarnick

Thanks Russell. I had the “Load scripts in footer” option checked, so your 2.5.3 release has fixed it. Many thanks for your swift assistance in resolving this.

The public.js script has not changed in the last update – it was last updated on 10th December 2014. The Slickr Flickr gallery should have a data element containing the options. This seems to be missing. Rather than the jQuery version it is more likely that jQuery is being loaded later than it need to be (in the footer rather than the head) and hence the options are not being created. Please make sure you click the checkbox “Load Scripts in footer” on Slickr Flickr Admin settings. This causes the options to be added in the footer rather than just below the gallery.
I just noticed that this setting was being ignored in the last release so I have fixed this and released 2.5.3.
So please upgrade to the latest version. This may fix the issue

Many apologies, Tim.
During an upgrade the plugin (like any other plugin) WordPress reports the update has been successful and then a couple of seconds later reports the plugin has been successfully reactivated. It is during the second operation that default values for new settings are applied. If you click away during the reactivation stage it is possible that settings are lost. The other scenario when this can occur is if you are updating from an old version of the plugin and skipping a few versions.

Hi Russell,
I’ve upgraded to v2.5.2 but I’m now getting the following javascript error on my gallery posts.
[Error] TypeError: undefined is not a valid argument for ‘in’ (evaluating ”thumbnails’ in $options’)

each (jquery-1.10.2.min.js, line 4)

ready (jquery-1.10.2.min.js, line 4)
q (jquery-1.10.2.min.js, line 4)
I suspect it may be a conflict between the version of Jquery that is being loaded by my site. However, it has worked up until now. Just wondered if you had any ideas.
Thanks
Jon

Upgrade wiped out my settings. Frustrating…

Hi
I have updated to v2.5 today – I don’t get the new admin pages displayed (just a heading of ‘settings’). The plug-in still works otherwise.
Help please!!
Thanks
David
